Horehound, also called white horehound, is family of the mint. The plant is native to Africa, Asia and Europe now it is also found in North America. Due to the high amount of mucilage content, Horehound is used in the preparation of syrups, poultice, teas, tinctures and throat lozenges. This herb can also be uses in seasonings.
Metaphysical uses: Horehound is burned to honor Horus, after which the plant was named. Horehound is used in protection spells, incenses mixtures, sachets and it is carried to guard against curses. As an infusion, it has traditionally being used to clear the mind and promote quick thinking and strengthen mental powers.
