Black Sage or Mugwort is referred to the species Artemisia Vulgaris. It is considered a sacred herb of Artemis, the Greek Goddess of the moon, the hunt, and chastity. Mugwort is also known as the dream weed for its dream and vision inducing properties. Mugwort smudge sticks are used for lucid dream, divination, psychic awareness and protection during astral travel. Their aroma is sweeter than the traditional white sage and has a pleasant minty aroma. Whenever you need to work on psychic awareness, inner healing, access your inner-self, clear psychic energy or a Depp spiritual cleansing, blue sage (Mugwort) can be of great help. In my opinion, when something stronger than White sage is needed, Mugwort is the best ally. It is burned right before performing any type of divination, crystal ball gazing or astral travel. To use, light one end and wave the wand in circular motions over the area, space, person or object that needs to be cleansed. The cleansing effect of its fragrant smoke is instant. Visualize the smoke cleansing and clearing the object, space or person from any negative or unwanted energies. Create your own protection sachets by crushing the leaves and place them in small pouches along with other protective herbs or flowers, then hang it at the door entrance or headboard. It can also be used in baths or to mop the floor.
Do not leave the sick unattended and it should always be placed in a heat resistant plate or bowl.
