Shasta Sage Smudge Stick (Salvia Farinacea) is a Native American plant part of the mint family. It comes from Mount Shasta in Northern California. It is a very potent plant used for cleansing sacred spaces, house, object, crystals or oneself. Blue Sage is also knows as Shasta or Desert Sage. It has been used by indigenous people during ceremonies to get rid of bad energies and evil spirits. It also has been used to prepare oneself to receive blessings. It is well known for its healing properties. Wiccan and Pagans burn it while performing rituals and spell crafting to cleanse their sacred space and objects. The sage is my preferred method of spiritual cleansing. After you cleanse your space, you feel the difference almost instantly leaving the environment lighter after removing dense negative energy. Burning Sage is also the most recommended way to cleanse your stones and crystals. Since some stones and crystals with a hardness of less than 5 would not resist being placed in water.
The Sage bundle is related white sage but it has a less intense and more sweeter aroma. For those who find white sage unpleasant, this is a winner.
Each Smudge stick measures 4"-5" x 1 - 1.25" wide.
The best time to use it is up to you. Whenever you feel like you need to use it, that is the right time. There is no specific time to be used.
