Therapeutic Uses: Devil's Claw root also known as Harpagophytum Procumbens, or Grapple plant originated in South Africa that is related to sesame. Introduced in the 18th century by a German Soldier to be used therapeutically. It was traditionally used in Africa for digestive complaints and assist with migraines, fever, allergic reactions and pain during childbirth.
The roots are used in teas, extracts and ointments.
In magic practices, it is believed to assist with spells involving ridding of unwanted company and spells involving protection.
Check with your physician before using this herb if you have a history of gallstones, peptic ulcers, or if you take anticoagulants.
